About this role
The Commercial Servicing Officer Lead is a critical role on the Commercial Banking team who will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of exceptional client experiences, ensure regulatory compliance, and contributes to the growth and success of the commercial bank to the relationship managed teams they support. They will collaborate with a team of professionals, as well as colleagues and leaders internal and external for Commercial Banking Group such as Treasury Management, deposit/loan operations, legal, and risk management to ensure a seamless service experience for Commercial Banking clients in the portfolio they support. The lead will have elevated responsibilities including higher approval limits, training staff, helping manage work and VIP client engage
- Responsible for the end-to-end service journey for a portfolio of Commercial Banking clients.
- Work with the Commercial Servicing team and key support partners to enhance overall service delivery, making suggestions and modifications to the process where appropriate.
- Provides direct support to a book of clients based on market needs.
- Respond to all service inquiries from clients, Relationship Managers on behalf of clients or other colleagues at the bank.
- Assist with providing guidance and troubleshooting treasury management products in support of the service experience for clients.
- Maintain high levels of quality, leveraging controls and procedures for commercial banking services, potentially including loan and deposit services for clients.
- Comply with all policies and procedures related to client service activities, reinforcing processes and controls to ensure compliance.
- Responsible for the application of the know-your-customer process for Commercial Banking, including work with Enterprise Risk to ensure compliance with BSA/AML requirements and regulations.
- Active participation in onboarding and KYC activities for clients in portfolio including refresh.
- Work with Relationship Managers to bring full complement of Commercial Banking services to their clients.
- Reinforce a work environment centered on continuous improvement and service excellence in support of Commercial Banking clients.
- Elevated authority limits above Commercial Servicing Officer to approve various transactions on behalf of the Commercial Banking clients.
- Responsible for managing the distribution of work to the staff based on daily, weekly and monthly report distributions
- Actively participate in the education of Commercial Servicing Officer staff.
- Primarily engage with high-touch VIP clients to provide support when needed.
Job Qualifications/Requirements
Education/Credentials
- Minimum Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Finance, Business or Economics)
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
Prior Experience
- 6+ years experience in commercial banking
- Experience with credit analysis, risk management, and loan portfolio management
Required
- Proven track record in leadership roles within banking, preferably at a regional level
- Must be able to work independently, a motivated and self-directed leader capable of managing a team of professionals
Technical Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in financial analysis and strategic planning
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Proficient in MS 365 products
Technical Skills
- Expert knowledge of standard banking systems, CRM
- Banking regulations and compliance standards
- Commercial loan products
The salary range for this full-time position is $80,000.00 annually - $95,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
Salary ranges are determined based on qualifications, level, and location.
