Cook II /Cashier - Full House
About this role
The Role:
Supports Full House Cafe by serving guests with Bally’s Standard Service. Ensures consistent quality and speed in the daily preparation and keeps up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Cook/Cashier position that interacts with our guests in a food outlet on the gaming floor.
- Availability of working required shifts, including weekends, holidays, and blackout days.
- Ensure all standardized recipes are utilized and followed.
- Adhere to all food safety procedures and guidelines.
- Maintain clean food stations and ensure food is prepared and stored properly.
- Responsible for cashier responsibilities, when assigned to a mobile/QSR outlet
- Ability to cross train to all kitchens and outlets on property
- Able to estimate the daily production needs and check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that safety standards are met
- Assist with food delivery check in for quality and quantity
- Ensure proper freezer, stock labeling, and rotation on food items/ingredients.
- Follows property opening and closing procedures for the venue.
- Coordinates daily tasks with manager.
- Covers off days when needed.
- Ensure effective communication between staff by maintaining a secure and friendly working environment
- Follows the instructions and recommendations from the immediate superiors to complete the daily tasks
- Ability to lift and move 40-50 pounds
- Maintain food sanitation, hygiene and safety standards
- Opens shifts and prepares the venue for planned volumes.
- Coordinates daily tasks with the Executive Chef/Sous Chef.
- Covers off days for Executive Chef/Sous Chef.
- Ensure effective communication between staff by maintaining a secure and friendly working environment.
- Follows the instructions and recommendations from the immediate superiors to complete the daily tasks.
- Must be able to lift and move 40-50 pounds.
- Must work required shifts, including weekends/holidays
- Maintain and set sanitation, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Enforce strict health and hygiene standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Previous work experience in a professional kitchen is a must.
- One plus years of experience in the food service environment.
- Must place emphasis on a high level of guest service.
- Must have knowledge of kitchen/restaurant sanitation, operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Understand and adhere to all liquor control laws and regulations, sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of food and alcohol, and any other federal, state, and/or local regulations.
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
