What You'll Do

As a Server Assistant, you play a vital role in supporting our servers and bartenders while ensuring our dining rooms are clean, organized, and prepared to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities include:

  • Welcome members and guests with a friendly, professional attitude.
     
  • Assist servers by delivering food and beverages promptly and accurately.
     
  • Clear and reset tables efficiently while maintaining club presentation standards.
     
  • Refill water, coffee, tea, bread, and other beverages as requested.
     
  • Assist with table maintenance throughout the dining experience by clearing plates, glassware, and utensils.
     
  • Polish silverware, glassware, and service items to club standards.
     
  • Stock and replenish service stations with linens, condiments, ice, glassware, and other supplies.
     
  • Assist with opening, closing, and side work responsibilities.
     
  • Maintain clean dining rooms, patios, service stations, and server alleys throughout each shift.
     
  • Assist with banquet, golf events, weddings, and special club functions.
     
  • Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, chefs, and managers to ensure seamless service.
     
  • Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
     
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of golf course food and beverage stations when assigned.
     
  • Safely operate golf carts when supporting golf events or food and beverage operations.
     
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Food & Beverage team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
     
  • Previous restaurant, hospitality, country club, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
     
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
     
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
     
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
     
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 40 pounds, including trays, bus tubs, and dining equipment.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, tournaments, weddings, and special events.

Certifications
Preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire):
 

  • Food Safety & Sanitation Certification
  • Alcohol Awareness/Responsible Beverage Service Certification (for assisting with beverage service)

    Driver Requirements

A valid driver's license is required, as this position may include operating golf carts while assisting with golf events, beverage stations, and club functions.
