Bartender
About this role
As a Bartender, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service while creating a warm, engaging experience for our members and guests. Responsibilities include:
- Welcome members and guests with genuine hospitality while providing attentive bar service.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to club recipes and service standards.
- Demonstrate knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits while confidently making recommendations.
- Prepare specialty cocktails and seasonal beverage features with consistency and attention to detail.
- Accurately enter orders and process payments using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and anticipate needs by providing prompt, friendly, and personalized service.
- Verify legal drinking age and practice responsible alcohol service at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar before, during, and after service.
- Restock liquor, wine, beer, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and bar supplies throughout each shift.
- Prepare fresh juices, syrups, garnishes, and other mise en place as needed.
- Complete opening, closing, inventory, and side work responsibilities.
- Assist servers by preparing beverages accurately and efficiently during service.
- Participate in pre-shift meetings, menu tastings, wine education, and beverage training.
- Assist with banquet, golf course, and special event beverage service when needed.
- Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and responsible beverage service guidelines.
- Safely operate golf carts and assist with beverage carts or golf course events when assigned.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Food & Beverage team.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous bartending, restaurant, country club, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits is preferred.
- Experience using a POS system is a plus.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Must meet state requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, tournaments, weddings, and special events.
Certifications
Preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire):
- Food Safety & Sanitation Certification
- Alcohol Awareness/Responsible Beverage Service Certification (TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, or equivalent)
Driver Requirements
A valid driver's license is required, as this position may include operating golf carts and assisting with beverage service during golf events, tournaments, and club functions.
