As a Lead Project Planner, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and driving integrated project schedules for large-scale subsea projects. You will ensure schedule integrity, monitor project performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide strategic planning support to the Project Management team. This position reports to the Materials Manager and works closely with project managers, engineering teams, procurement, manufacturing, and customers to ensure successful project delivery.

As a Lead Project Planner, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing, maintaining, and controlling integrated project schedules, ensuring high standards of schedule quality, logic, resource alignment, and execution accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Collaborating with project managers, engineering planners, procurement teams, manufacturing functions, and other stakeholders to ensure project activities are fully aligned with business and customer requirements.

  • Supporting project execution by providing schedule forecasts, look-ahead plans, critical path analysis, risk assessments, and recovery plans to drive on-time project delivery.

  • Monitoring project progress and performance, identifying schedule variances, risks, and opportunities, and driving corrective actions where required.

  • Preparing and delivering accurate project planning reports, dashboards, forecasts, and schedule analyses to support informed decision-making.

  • Engaging with customers to communicate project schedule updates, milestone achievements, challenges, risks, and opportunities while maintaining transparency and confidence.

  • Supporting change management activities by assessing the schedule impact of scope changes, resource constraints, and project risks.

  • Driving continuous improvement by adhering to established planning processes and implementing best practices that enhance integrated project planning and execution excellence.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Project Management, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Have significant experience in project planning and scheduling within the oil & gas, subsea, EPC, manufacturing, or industrial engineering sectors.

  • Demonstrate advanced expertise in Primavera P6 and the development, maintenance, and control of complex integrated project schedules.

  • Possess strong knowledge of project execution, project controls, critical path analysis, schedule forecasting, and performance monitoring.

  • Be able to assess project status, identify schedule risks and opportunities, and drive effective mitigation or recovery plans.

  • Have experience working with ERP/MRP systems such as Oracle and the ability to integrate planning data across multiple functions.

  • Demonstrate excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage customers, project leadership, and cross-functional teams.

  • Display strong leadership, accountability, and a results-driven mindset, with the ability to influence teams and deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
