Industrial Maintenance Technician Summary


We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, conveyor equipment, bearings, gearboxes, welding, and preventive maintenance. Electrical troubleshooting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical failures on production equipment.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Install, align, and maintain motors, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, fans, and other rotating equipment.
  • Replace bearings, chains, sprockets, belts, seals, and other mechanical components.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform basic fabrication, welding, and cutting as needed.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using a CMMS.
  • Work safely while following OSHA regulations and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns during production.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical power transmission systems.
  • Experience with welding (MIG, TIG, or Stick) and fabrication.
  • Familiarity with bearings, alignment, lubrication, and precision measurements.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting (480V, motors, sensors, VFDs) preferred.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperatures, heights, and confined spaces.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or rotating shifts as needed.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Industrial manufacturing or sawmill experience.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience.
  • Forklift, boom lift, or scissor lift certification.
  • Millwright experience.
  • CMMS experience (Fiix, SAP, etc.).
