Assistant Hydrovac Operator
About this role
The Assistant Operator supports the operation of specialized industrial equipment, assisting in tasks like equipment setup, sit preparation, and hydro-excavation. This role ensures safety compliance while contributing to infrastructure maintenance and excavation projects.
$26.00 per hour and up based on experience with many opportunities for pay increases and career advancement!
RESPONSIBILITES
What You'll Be Doing:
- Requires travel to assign job location/assignment.
- Operates the on-board hydro-vacuum system outside the truck and performs other duties such as clean-up, mobilization, and general maintenance of the equipment.
- Communicates effectively and professionally and demonstrates a strong customer service focus in all interactions.
- Troubleshoots minor mechanical issues and as the need arises perform minor repairs to equipment.
- Attends safety meetings and ensures all tasks are always completed in a safe and professional manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
What You'll Need For Success:
- Educational high school diploma or GED.
- Previous hydrovac, trucking, vacuum truck or other related industrial experience preferred.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.
- CSO safety card certification is required. (If applicant does not hold this certification, Badger will pay for computer-based training with applicant completing on-line course within 5 days of hiring. Certification is the property of the applicant.)
- Capable of working variable shifts with extended hours.
- Must be able to hear and distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty.
- Must be able to repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl.
- Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in all outdoor elements for extended periods of time.
