We are currently hiring experienced Temporary Industrial Security Guards to join our team at an industrial facility in Brazeau County, Alberta.

Position Details

  • Wage: $21.00 per hour
  • Assignment Length: Approximately one month
  • Start Dates: August 19 or August 26, 2026
  • Location: Brazeau County, Alberta
  • Transportation: Candidates must be able to travel to Drayton Valley. Transportation to and from the worksite will be provided by crew truck.
  • Accommodations: Hotel accommodations and Living Out Allowance (LOA) are provided.

Responsibilities

As an Industrial Security Guard, you will help maintain a safe, secure, and professional work environment by:

  • Conducting regular patrols of the site
  • Monitoring surveillance systems and site security
  • Managing access control and verifying authorized personnel
  • Reporting security concerns, hazards, incidents, and policy violations
  • Directing vehicle traffic as required
  • Completing Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs), Daily Occurrence Reports (DORs), and Incident Reports
  • Inspecting company vehicles and reporting maintenance requirements
  • Monitoring building and equipment controls
  • Following all site policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Arriving on time and communicating promptly if unable to report for duty
  • Working effectively both independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

Required

  • Valid Alberta Security Services Worker License
  • Minimum one year of industrial security experience
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with no more than six demerits
  • Standard First Aid with CPR certification
  • CSTS certification
  • Ability to travel to Drayton Valley for crew transportation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Experience using electronic access control or badging systems

Preferred

  • H₂S Awareness certification

Timber salvage, commercial logging, clearing pipeline and powerline right of ways, well and lease pad and seismic lines, grubbing, mulching, burning and log haul and skidding.

Mechanical
Pipeline maintenance services on steel piping; flex pipe; flex steel; fiberglass; plastic and poly mainline; gathering systems; and riser and camelback installs. Facility Installation including pumpjacks; single and multi-well pads; compressor stations; gas plants; and oil batteries. Integrity & Repair Solutions for line digs, pipe repairs include cut-outs, recoating, and inline inspection assistance.
