About this role
Backwoods Security Services is currently seeking Security Guards for a team of guards at a Commercial Facility located out in Strathcona County.
Schedule: Night Shift / Day Shift, 7 on, 7 off, 12-hour shifts

The Role:
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by patrolling and monitoring premises
- Monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, equipment and access points
- Access Control: Permit authorized persons entry to site when required
- Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, inform violators of policy and procedures; restrain if necessary
- Control traffic by directing drivers
- Complete daily Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA’s) and Daily Occurrence Reports (DOR’s) and Incident Reports (IR’s) when required
- Maintain environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls
- Arrive on time for shift. If you know you will be unable to fulfill your duties, you must communicate with the on-call supervisor ahead of time
- Able to work efficiently and effectively both as part of a team or individually
What We're Looking For:
- Alberta Security License (required)
- Class 5 Driver's License
- Standard First Aid with CPR
- CSTS (required)
- H2S Awareness (preferred)
- Objectivity, emotional control and dependability
- Communicates clearly and professionally with customers, colleagues and stakeholders
- Able to follow complex instructions, both written and verbal
- Knowledgeable about security operations and procedures
- Site orientations as needed and requested

Civil earthworks projects including pipeline reclamation, lease abandonment, construction of access roads, bridges, leases, well pads, laydown yards, and ponds, excavation and backfill, finish grading, vegetation management, spill recovery & disaster/emergency response, and traditional land use.
Environmental
Reclamation, pipeline abandonment, well-site abandonment, facility abandonment, pipeline segment removal, remediation and reclamation, lease and access reclamation and restoration and environmental construction.
Forestry
Timber salvage, commercial logging, clearing pipeline and powerline right of ways, well and lease pad and seismic lines, grubbing, mulching, burning and log haul and skidding.
Mechanical
Pipeline maintenance services on steel piping; flex pipe; flex steel; fiberglass; plastic and poly mainline; gathering systems; and riser and camelback installs. Facility Installation including pumpjacks; single and multi-well pads; compressor stations; gas plants; and oil batteries. Integrity & Repair Solutions for line digs, pipe repairs include cut-outs, recoating, and inline inspection assistance.
