Location: Nisku, AB
Pay: $21.12 per hour
Hours: 28–40 hours per week
Schedule: 4-week rotating schedule | Days, nights & weekends

Join Our Security Operations Team


We are looking for a reliable, organized, and quick-thinking Dispatcher to join our security operations team in Nisku.

As a Dispatcher, you will play an important role in keeping our security operations running smoothly. You will be the central communication point between our clients, security personnel, and operations team—coordinating schedules, responding to requests, monitoring systems, and helping resolve issues as they arise.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate daily security operations and ensure staffing coverage is maintained.
  • Review and verify schedules to identify coverage gaps or potential issues.
  • Communicate with security guards in the field and provide timely operational support.
  • Receive client requests and arrange appropriate security coverage.
  • Prepare and distribute accurate weekly schedules to security personnel.
  • Respond to and dispatch emergency alarm calls.
  • Monitor attendance and absenteeism and escalate recurring concerns when required.
  • Monitor access control, CCTV, and other operational systems.
  • Manage employee accommodation bookings while keeping scheduling and costs in mind.
  • Maintain and update schedules using scheduling software.
  • Ensure scheduling practices align with applicable Hours of Work requirements.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, guards, and internal teams.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Track and manage company equipment and assets assigned to employees.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, schedules, and system updates.
  • Use a variety of company software and technology to support daily operations.
  • Assist with additional operational duties as required.


What You Bring

  • 2–3 years of experience in dispatch, scheduling, security operations, logistics, or a related position.
  • Valid Alberta Security License or previous experience holding an Alberta Security License is an asset.
  • Strong computer and technology skills with the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Experience with scheduling software is an asset.
  • Excellent typing and data-entry accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy operational environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with urgent or unexpected situations.
  • A dependable and team-oriented approach to work.


Schedule & Availability

This position follows a 4-week rotating schedule and requires flexibility to work:

  • Day shifts
  • Evening shifts
  • Night shifts
  • Weekends
  • Varying days off


Hours may vary between 28 and 40 hours per week, depending on operational requirements.

Employees who hold a valid Alberta Security License may also have opportunities to pick up additional casual security shifts when available.
