Job DetailsJob Location: Legal Address - Wichita, KS 67209Salary Range: $25.00 - $35.00Job Category: EngineeringResponsible for developing, improving, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high quality standards, and on-time delivery. This position works closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Programming teams to support new and existing product lines while ensuring manufacturability and process consistency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, routings, and work instructions
Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure manufacturability
Provide technical support to production teams to resolve manufacturing issues
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Support new product introduction (NPI) from concept through production
Collaborate with Programming, Quality, and Production to optimize cycle times and workflows
Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and process improvements
Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Ensure compliance with customer requirements, quality standards, and regulatory requirements (including ITAR as applicable)
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for production and quality issues
Assist in continuous improvement initiatives (lean manufacturing, 5S, waste reduction)
Provide guidance and support to Level I Engineers as needed
Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Support production goals in terms of efficiency, quality, and throughput
Miscellaneous tasks as assigned
QualificationsEXPERIENCE
Minimum of three years’ experience in an aerospace/aircraft machine shop or manufacturing environment
Experience with CNC machining processes and production workflows required
Experience with process development, routing creation, and work instructions required
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand for long periods of time as needed on the production floor
Familiar with safety standards and PPE utilized in a manufacturing setting
Must have reliable transportation and work overtime as needed
Ability to read, write and understand English
Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, and materials
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Experience with ERP systems (JobBoss or similar) preferred
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
