About this role

Role Overview

We're looking for a Product Designer, Web to own the end-to-end design of Axya's web application experience β€” from early concept and interaction design through to polished, production-ready UI. You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to translate complex procurement workflows into interfaces that feel simple, fast, and trustworthy for enterprise buyers. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role: your work will directly shape how procurement teams at some of the largest manufacturers in the world interact with AI every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the design of new features and workflows across Axya's web platform, from discovery through to shipped UI.
  • Translate ambiguous, complex procurement and supply-chain workflows into clear, intuitive user experiences.
  • Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to scope, prototype, and iterate quickly within sprint cycles.
  • Conduct and synthesize user research and usability testing with enterprise procurement stakeholders and internal champions.
  • Maintain and evolve Axya's design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across the product.
  • Design for AI-native interactions β€” helping users build trust in AI-driven recommendations, automations, and copilots.
  • Present design rationale and trade-offs clearly to cross-functional stakeholders, including the executive team.
  • Contribute to a strong product design culture as one of the team's early design hires.

What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years of product design experience, ideally on complex B2B or enterprise SaaS platforms.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership: research, flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI.
  • Fluency in modern design tooling (Figma required).
  • Experience designing and maintaining scalable design systems.
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and translating complex, technical, or industry-specific workflows into simple UX.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to articulate design decisions to non-designers.
  • A collaborative mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing for procurement, supply chain, ERP, or other operations-heavy enterprise software.
  • Experience designing AI-powered or copilot-style product experiences.
  • Front-end fluency (HTML/CSS, basic React) to collaborate more closely with engineering.
  • French language proficiency (Montreal-based team),
