Human Resources Generalist
About this role
About the Role: To assist in the implementation, execution, administration and supervision of HR processes relevant to Aviat’s New Zealand and Australia needs - locally, regionally and globally.
Responsibilities:
- Support end-to-end HR processes, ensuring adherence to established procedures and approval frameworks while maintaining high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and service delivery.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding activities, including coordinating new hire inductions and conducting exit interviews.
- Administer payroll and employee benefits processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable policies.
- Perform regular HR data audits to ensure data integrity, consistency, and completeness across systems.
- Provide support during internal and external audits, respond to HR and payroll-related queries in a timely manner, and deliver detailed explanations where required.
- Accurately record, document, and report employment-related information, escalating issues as required to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records within personnel files and HRIS/payroll systems, ensuring full compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Contribute to the implementation of regional and global HR initiatives and projects as required.
- Provide general HR support and carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or administration preferred
- Five years of work experience in similar role
- Self driven and goal-oriented mindset and working style
- Ability to establish high integrity and trust among staff
- Ability to work independently
- Diligence and preciseness
- Experience in Payroll process Administration
- Working experience in telecommunication or IT sector is preferable
- No supervisory experiences required
- No traveling required
NOTE: Position is New Zealand based, on site. Candidates must be eligible to work in NZ and no sponsorship can be provided.
