Position Highlights

Position Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides outpatient general cardiology care for established patients in Mitchell and surrounding outreach communities. The APP assesses and manages recheck patients, supports North Central Heart cardiologists during Mitchell outreach clinics, and independently conducts follow-up outreach visits after an NCH physician has established the patient treatment plan. The APP reviews diagnostic results, provides patient education, and collaborates with NCH cardiologists to promote safe, coordinated, patient-centered cardiovascular care.

Education and Experience

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Cardiology, internal medicine, or related clinical experience preferred.

Licensure and Certification

Current or eligible South Dakota licensure as a Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Current BLS certification required; ACLS and prescriptive authority/DEA registration preferred or required as applicable to the role.
