Patient Care Coordinator – Edmonton, Alberta
Avant Respiratory provides clinical consultation, diagnostic services, and treatment for a wide range of sleep disorders, helping patients across Canada sleep better and live better. We're growing, and we're looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to join our Edmonton team.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide day-to-day support to patients and help answer their questions so they get the care they need
  • Provide day-to-day support to our Respiratory Therapists and other team members as required
  • Obtain patient medical histories and insurance information; update medical charts and enter patient data
  • Coordinate appointment types for patients, including booking and rescheduling follow-ups
  • Review data on clinical activity and prepare associated reports as required
  • Answer telephone inquiries from patients and others, screening calls to determine nature and urgency, referring calls as appropriate, and scheduling appointments
  • Assist patients with insurance pre-authorizations and claim approvals
  • Maintain the cleanliness and serviceability of equipment, arranging for maintenance and repair as needed
  • Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
  • A minimum of 2+ years in an administrative position
  • Experience in health care or sleep therapy is an asset but not required — training is provided
  • Experience using an EMR system is considered an asset
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills with impeccable attention to detail
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • A positive, supportive attitude and strong client service skills — our patients deserve the best
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand new processes in a constantly changing environment
  • A professional, friendly, interpersonal manner with strong customer service values
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task, assess situations, and prioritize tasks accordingly

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Training Location: 10230 142 Street NW (West Office)
  • Permanent Location: 2951 Ellwood Drive SW
  • Pay: $19-$23/hour, based on experience
