Demand Center Outbound Sales Specialist

About this role

Cetera Financial Group (CFG) is seeking a Demand Center Outbound Sales Specialist who will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. Your primary responsibility will be to generate, and nurture leads through outbound prospecting efforts, engaging with prospective Financial Advisors, and qualifying them before passing them on to the sales team. You will be the first point of contact for many prospective advisors, representing our company and laying the foundation for successful client relationships. This is a Remote role. 

 

What You'll Do: 

  • The driving force for identifying and creating high-value opportunities in the sales pipeline and the first line of relationship development with prospective high-value accounts.  
  • Deliver a “consultative”/” need-based” approach to selling; taking time to understand the prospect’s business, their goals, objectives, and challenges before recommending a solution. Outbound prospecting activities would include cold calling, emailing, and social media outreach to identify potential clients within target markets.  
  • Prospect, educate, qualify, and develop Target Accounts and inbound leads to create sales-ready leads and opportunities.  
  • Quickly route prospects to appropriate channels/colleagues to assist in solving problems and driving value.  
  • Cultivates & provides education on areas of interest for under-informed prospects and sell-in value propositions.  
  • Utilize lead generation tools, databases, and online resources to build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads.  
  • Researching target accounts, identifying decision-makers, generating interest, and developing accounts to stimulate need.  
  • Engage with leads to understand their business needs, challenges, and priorities.  
  • Conduct thorough qualification assessments to determine the fit between the prospect's requirements and our company's offerings.  
  • Document all prospect interactions, activities, and outcomes accurately and comprehensively in CRM software or other sales tools.  
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to run and assist in performing lead generation campaigns and follow-up on leads.  
  • Follow up with leads in a timely and persistent manner, continuing to nurture them with relevant & engaging content to retain an interest in Cetera.  
  • Run outbound campaigns to ensure a balanced pipeline built across channels/territories  
  • Providing closed-loop feedback to the Demand Center organization to ensure continuous process optimizations.  
  • Continuously learn about industry trends, market developments, and competitor strategies.  

 

What You Need to Have: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in Sales or Customer Service is desirable.  
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or outbound lead generation, preferably in a B2B environment. 
  • Track record of successful business development in enterprise solutions, software, Finance, or tech sales environments.  
  • Experience running all areas of the SDR process including account planning, pre-call preparation, opportunity qualification, and objection handling.  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.  
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.  
  • Proficient with standard corporate efficiency tools (email, voicemail, MS Office) and experience with sales tools such as Salesforce and PhoneBurner. 
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.  
  • Self-starter with high motivation, independence, resilience, and ability to collaborate with sales & marketing teams to deliver pipe creation goals.  
  • Ability to quickly learn & understand sophisticated business problems & translate customers' needs into solution plays.  
  • Strong time management and ability to energetically prioritize key tasks.  
  • Standout colleague with the ability to work well with multiple partners across sales, marketing & solution teams.  

 

What's Nice to Have: 

  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and MS Suite, other sales tools is a plus. 
  • Prior experience working in the Wealth Management industry or with a broker-dealer a plus.  

 

Travel Requirements: Up to (25%) 

 

Compensation: 

The salary range for this role is $75,000, plus competitive incentive compensation package. Compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Compensation ranges may differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
