About this role
Segment Buyer
Specifically responsible for Divisional Segment Purchasing of Fabric and Coatings, in support of multiple Product Lines. Works within a purchasing team to create a purchasing strategy for a segment of goods. Supports Product Area Manager & Global Segment Manager. Evaluates vendor quotes, services, and savings, to determine the most desirable suppliers. Works all aspects of vendor relationship management and lifecycle. Supports divisional workshops & Zero-Defect Strategy with Supplier Quality. Requires a bachelor's degree with preference given for knowledge, skills and abilities that apply most directly to the position. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function as it relates specifically to Raw Materials purchasing, new technology and manufacturing methods.
What you’ll do:
- Support Multiple Product Line Teams
• Support specific Standard Components; Raw Materials for Product Lines
• Strong understanding of raw materials: Fabrics and Coatings is required
• Meet stated KPIs for MPV, Supplier Consolidation, NCM, WCC, etc…
• Develop best in class suppliers (Cost, Quality, Delivery)
• Responsible for negotiations, cost modeling, LTA, Resourcing, & other
What is required:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required
- Advanced English skills
- Previous Experience in Purchasing, Standard Components, Raw Material Trends, Engineering, Quality, Negotiation, Resins.
• Organization, Negotiation and Communication skills.
