SCM Data Analyst
About this role
The SCM Data Analyst plays a critical role in driving data-driven decision-making within the Americas Indirect Purchasing organization. This position is responsible for analyzing spend, supplier, and operational data to identify cost savings opportunities, support category strategies, and improve procurement performance. The role creates actionable insights through advanced analytics, business intelligence tools, data visualization, and AI-enabled reporting.
Working closely with Category Managers, Operational Buyers, Finance, Plant Operations, and SCM leadership, the SCM Data Analyst supports productivity initiatives, supply chain transformation projects, and continuous improvement efforts by ensuring data accuracy, automating reporting processes, and delivering meaningful business insights. This individual serves as the primary analytics resource for Indirect Purchasing, helping stakeholders make informed decisions, enhance operational efficiency, and achieve organizational cost reduction and productivity goals.

Analyze spend, supplier, and operational data to identify cost reduction, productivity, supplier consolidation, and sourcing opportunities across indirect purchasing categories.
Support category strategy development and annual planning by providing spend intelligence, supplier analysis, market insights, performance metrics, and executive-level reporting.
Lead analytics activities for productivity workshops, including opportunity identification, savings modeling, implementation tracking, and results measurement.
Improve data quality and governance by managing supplier and purchasing data, resolving inconsistencies, and supporting data cleansing and standardization initiatives.
Develop and automate dashboards, KPI reporting, and AI-powered analytics solutions using tools such as Power BI and Microsoft Copilot to enhance procurement effectiveness and support data-driven decision-making.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
3-7 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, business analytics, finance, operations analysis, or a related discipline.
Advanced analytical and reporting skills, including expertise in Microsoft Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot, advanced modeling) and Power BI dashboard development.
Experience with ERP and procurement systems such as SAP, Coupa, Oracle, JD Edwards, or equivalent platforms.
Strong data management and business intelligence capabilities, including data cleansing, data quality management, and working with large datasets to generate actionable insights.
