Patent Department at Autoliv is a de-centralized global function, involving activities and colleagues world-wide. We are looking for a RDE IP & Patent Expert to support the various Technical Centers around the world in the Electronics & Mechatronics business area.

In this role you will:

  • manage and coordinate IP and patent work for Autoliv in the various Technical Centers around the world in the Electronics & Mechatronics business area.

  • manage the invention evaluation process, including patentability search, arrangement of commercial assessment and alignment in relation to our IP strategy. You manage the patent prosecution process for patent applications filed and conduct investigations around IP issues, Freedom-to-operate (FTO) searches and benchmarking of IP.

  • become involved in IP related clauses of cooperation agreements that will influence the IP Strategy for respective cases.

  • interact with other members of our global Patent Department, global Legal Department and with external Patent firms around the world. You will spread awareness of IP in Autoliv entities by conducting trainings.

        If you have/are:

  • You have a master’s degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering or similar

  • Fluent English spoken and in writing

  • You have already at least 5 years of experience and skills working with Patents in a similar role

  • Global mindset – open to cooperate with colleagues in a global team

  • Open to learn new technology areas and support engineers in various countries

  • Further language skills are an asset
