In this role you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining packaging solutions that meet product protection, quality, regulatory, cost, and sustainability requirements.

        Should you be interested in overseeing these tasks and aiming for enhanced performance standards, your role will involve:

  • Design, develop, and validate primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging solutions.

  • Ensure packaging protects product integrity during manufacturing, storage, and transportation.

  • Optimize packaging costs through material selection, standardization, and supplier collaboration.

  • Ensure packaging complies with regulatory, safety, and quality standards (e.g., food contact, pharma regulations, labeling).

  • Conduct packaging trials, tests, and validations (drop tests, shelf-life, transport simulation).

  • Investigate packaging-related quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

  • Coordinate with packaging suppliers on specifications, innovation, and performance.

  • Work cross-functionally with Procurement, Quality, Production, Logistics, Marketing, and R&D.

  • Support supplier qualification, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support manufacturing lines with packaging process improvements and troubleshooting.

  • Define and maintain packaging BOMs, technical drawings, and specifications in ERP systems.

  • Ensure packaging solutions are compatible with equipment and production capabilities.

  • Identify opportunities to reduce packaging material usage and environmental footprint.

  • Support sustainability initiatives such as recyclable materials, eco-design, and waste reduction.

  • Drive standardization and best practices across packaging processes.

     If you have/are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Mechanical, Industrial, Engineering, or related field.

  • 3+ years of packaging engineering/development experience, preferably in Automotive.

  • Knowledge of packaging materials and validation testing.

  • Experience with packaging specifications, BOMs, and ERP systems.

  • Familiarity with quality standards, CAPA, and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills.

  • Knowledge of sustainability and packaging optimization initiatives.

  • Fluent in English.
