We are working to increase vehicle safety by developing seatbelts, airbags and steering wheels and you can be part of our team as Health Safety and Sustainability Engineer.

In this role you will be responsible for coordinate Health & Safety, Administrate Medical Services Team (Doctors & Nurses), Maintain the system aligned with the corporate standards. Also, will audit the controls required for legal dispositions, permits in Federal, state, city hall, manage root cause analysis and present the information to the EHS internal team, perform safety assessments for machinery, building and installations

        Should you be interested in overseeing these tasks and aiming for enhanced performance standards, your role will involve:

  • Lead workplace safety and environmental compliance programs, ensuring adherence to company policies and all applicable municipal, state, and federal regulations.

  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, preparing reports, issuing safety alerts, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to reduce risk.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety initiatives and accident reduction programs, including tracking, analyzing, and publishing monthly safety statistics, KPIs, and performance reports.

  • Coordinate emergency preparedness and response activities, including managing Emergency Brigades, maintaining contingency plans, and collaborating with government authorities to ensure readiness for emergencies.

  • Provide safety, health, and environmental training while promoting a healthy workplace culture, leading the Safety and Hygiene Committee and driving continuous improvement in employee safety awareness and environmental protection.

     If you have/are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

  • 2-3 years of experience in an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) role, with responsibility for regulatory compliance, accident prevention, and workplace safety programs.

  • Strong knowledge of Mexican safety, health, and environmental regulations, including requirements from STPS, IMSS, Civil Protection (PC), Fire Department, and other municipal, state, and federal agencies.

  • Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively with corporate, regulatory, and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Availability to travel and flexible schedule availability, along with a valid U.S. and Mexican Visa for business-related travel and support activities.
