Business Analyst, SCM IT
About this role
About Autoliv
Autoliv’s primary goal is to Save More Lives. Our products never get a second chance. This is why we can never compromise on quality. We are working to increase vehicle safety by developing seatbelts, airbags and steering wheels – and you can be part of our team as SCM IT Business Analyst.
To achieve the company’s strategic objectives, the Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization is actively driving digital transformation initiatives, aiming to optimize processes and improve efficiency across the entire value chain.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and self-driven IT Business Analyst to serve as a strategic partner to the Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization, driving digital initiatives from opportunity identification through solution delivery and adoption.
In this role, you will bridge business and technology, translating business objectives into effective solutions while ensuring alignment between strategic goals and technical implementation. You will work independently with stakeholders across all levels, facilitate decision-making, challenge assumptions when needed, and provide recommendations that deliver measurable business value.
The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis capabilities, technical understanding, stakeholder management, and delivery experience, with the ability to lead initiatives end-to-end in a complex environment.
What you will do in this role
Collaborate with SCM stakeholders to frame and structure digital initiatives, translating business goals into clear objectives, value expectations, scope boundaries, and success criteria.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities in business processes and systems and translate them into actionable initiatives and requirement roadmaps.
Lead complex requirement elicitation and documentation: gather, analyze, challenge, and document business requirements with stakeholders.
Break down requirements into clear needs, define priorities through collaboration and negotiation, and drive decision closure.
Translate business needs into detailed functional and non‑functional requirements, user stories, process flows, guidelines, and other documentation.
Define acceptance criteria and ensure shared understanding of “done” and expected outcomes.
Collaborate with other business analysts to ensure consistency of processes and data between domains.
Coordinate requirement lifecycle activities across stakeholders and teams: workshops, requirement reviews, traceability, scope clarifications, and sign‑offs/approvals.
Maintain alignment on priorities and dependencies (process/data/reporting/test impacts), ensuring requirements remain coherent and feasible for delivery.
Proactively follow up on open items that block BA outcomes (e.g., missing business decisions, unclear data definitions, incomplete process ownership, unresolved reporting logic).
Act as a trusted partner to development teams, architects, and technical leads.
Understand and analyze system integrations, APIs, data flows, databases, and application architecture.
Participate actively in solution design discussions and assess the impact of proposed technical solutions.
Ensures solutions meet business requirements, contribute to structured UAT readiness and validation.
Support end‑user enablement: training materials, guidance, and communication related to updates/changes/releases.
Support reporting needs by clarifying KPI definitions, ensuring data consistency, and translating analytical requirements into actionable specifications.
Contribute to improving data quality and reliability within the functional scope to strengthen trust in analytics and operational reporting.
Provide 2nd/3rd line support in case of issues and participate in 8D initiatives in case of major issues with systems/data in scope.
Ensure solutions comply with industry regulations and standards (as applicable to systems in scope).
About you
Proven experience in requirements gathering and user story development; comfortable driving alignment with senior stakeholders.
Ability to lead analysis workstreams end‑to‑end (from discovery to validation and adoption) while collaborating closely with Solution Owners / Project Managers.
Good understanding of supply chain management tools and processes is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with an applied approach to using data for insights and reporting.
Ability to understand data models, analyze system data, and translate findings into business recommendations.
Experience with reporting and analytics tools (e.g., dashboards, BI platforms, structured reporting) is an advantage.
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA) is highly desirable.
Basic programming knowledge is considered a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in professional English.
Collaborative, adaptable, organized, and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and continuous improvement.
If this opportunity resonates with you and you believe your experience and skills align with the role, we would be happy to connect and discuss your background and career aspirations.
In our international work setting, you will find a range of opportunities that are designed to enhance your career and personal development. Including new and different perspectives is part of what ensures the team’s success. We are committed to develop people’s skills, knowledge and creative potential. Our training and development programs emphasize technical competency, leadership development and business management skill.
