Application Senior Engineer

Responsible for the development and validation of Steering Wheel and Driver Airbag products pre and post-SoP.

Lead, execute and support various project activities during technical phases of awarded programs.

This will require collaboration with all Cross Functional Team (CFT) team members (divisional and global), interface with OEM’s, internal supporting groups, manufacturing facilities, and suppliers.

In this role you will be responsible for
  • Working with the customer to negotiate styling vs. Autoliv standard design/processes.

  • Working with global team members to locally validate and launch global programs.

  • Balance between easy to manufacture and meeting customer needs.

  • Understanding customer specifications and ensuring product is designed/validated accordingly.

  • Driving the design to meet 1P1P expectations.

What is required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Technical leadership

  • Verbal and written communication

  • Design / CAD

  • Perform Tolerance Stack

  • Apply GD&T on Drawings

  • Ability to understand manufacturing needs e.g., Die cast, RIM, Injection Molding, Stamping, Assy

  • Interpreting CAE Results

  • Problem Solving Skills
