Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for achieving budget, people development, and operations objectives for our Inbound (IB) or Outbound (OB) processes. We are seeking a proactive leader who can motivate management teams, champion safety and quality, and successfully implement Lean initiatives.

  • Operational Excellence: Take full ownership of budgetary, KPI-oriented, and overall operational objectives for the logistics operations (IB or OB).
  • Team Leadership: Manage, lead, coach, and mentor a team of Area Managers to ensure performance targets are consistently met. Build leadership bench strength and foster positive employee relations.
  • Core Metrics Management: Take responsibility for the overall safety, quality, performance, customer experience, and people development across all assigned logistic paths.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive the vision for the Area Manager team. Create and implement quality initiatives, process changes, and Lean methodologies to enable your functional area to meet and exceed business plans.
  • Performance Management: Set clear requirements and expectations for Area Managers. Measure performance, provide actionable feedback, and hold teams accountable while proactively solving problems to close performance gaps.
  • Scaling Operations: Manage the seamless delivery of B2B & B2C orders in an environment characterized by ever-rising volume and complexity, operating on a 24/7 basis.
  • Stakeholder & Network Management: Manage day-to-day relationships within a complex network structure and present operational metrics regularly to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Talent Development: Hire and develop top-tier talent. Create and execute a comprehensive site talent plan, including talent acquisition, performance and career management, learning and development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
  • Culture & Best Practices: Cultivate a strong culture of engagement at all levels. Leverage your team to source ideas, roll them into improvement plans, and proactively share best practices across all departments, shifts, and the broader network.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with key business functions—including Transport, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR, Safety, and Engineering—to secure support and resources for area initiatives, while also supporting their projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant operations experience.
  • 7+ years of operations experience in supply chain, logistics, transportation, manufacturing, retail, or related fields.
  • Direct experience working in a similar logistical or distribution center environment.
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team with a demonstrated ability to develop team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent Polish required and business-level English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of operations experience in supply chain, logistics, transportation, manufacturing, retail, or related fields.
  • Strong operations experience in a fast-growing company or industry.
  • Proven track record of leading rapid expansion initiatives or scaling operations.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering multiple programs and projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience managing operational budgets, financial forecasting, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Expertise with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies, as well as continuous improvement techniques.
  • Experience developing and implementing performance metrics, KPIs, and accountability frameworks.
  • Background in workplace safety management and safety compliance programs.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment.
