Job Description
We are looking for an Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our Cloud Infrastructure team responsible for maintaining the stability, availability, and operational health of our production platform.
This role combines hands-on operational work with continuous learning and technical growth. You will support a large-scale cloud-native infrastructure running hundreds of production services across multiple Kubernetes clusters.
Working alongside experienced SRE, Platform Engineering, and Infrastructure teams, you will gain practical experience with cloud technologies, Kubernetes, observability platforms, and incident management while contributing to the reliability of our production environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the daily operation of our Google Cloud Platform, Google Kubernetes Engine, managed databases and cloud networking.
- Monitor the health of our production platform using VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, VictoriaLogs, Prometheus and Alertmanager.
- Investigate infrastructure alerts, review dashboards and identify service degradation.
- Participate in production incident response by performing first-level troubleshooting, collecting diagnostic information and escalating complex issues.
- Perform routine Kubernetes operational tasks such as checking events, collecting application logs and supporting application rollouts.
- Contribute to operational automation by writing small scripts and utilities in Python or Bash.
- Collaborate closely with our SRE, Platform Engineering, Security and Software Engineering teams during incident response and infrastructure maintenance.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving platform availability, service reliability and backup validation.
Qualifications
- Up to 2 years of experience in Infrastructure, Technical Support, System Administration, Cloud Operations or a similar technical role.
- Practical experience working with Linux systems.
- A basic understanding of Kubernetes concepts and Google Cloud Platform.
- Fundamental knowledge of networking, including DNS, TCP/IP and HTTP/HTTPS.
- Familiarity with monitoring systems, log analysis, Git and basic SQL.
- Basic scripting skills in either Python or Bash.
- A strong willingness to learn cloud technologies and a genuine passion for troubleshooting technical problems.
- An ownership mindset with great attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm during incidents.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Docker, Helm, Cloudflare, Redis or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines or Infrastructure as Code.
