Experience in Ophthalmology Not Required
We train you! No previous ophthalmic experience is necessary. This position is a great opportunity for someone looking to enter the medical field and develop a long-term healthcare career.

Your Role
As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will help keep patient care moving smoothly while providing compassionate support throughout each visit.
You’ll spend your day:
- Gathering medical histories
- Performing vision testing
- Completing imaging and other diagnostic testing
- Preparing exam rooms
- Documenting clinical information
- Assisting physicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Listening to patient concerns and helping them feel comfortable and cared for
You may also travel between clinics, with company transportation available.
From your first interaction with a patient to the final steps of their visit, you'll have opportunities to demonstrate our core values: Serving with Compassion, Striving for Excellence, and Practicing Humility.
You'll work closely with physicians and teammates, communicate with patients, and develop hands-on knowledge of ophthalmic care and clinical systems. Some days may include early starts, later hours, travel between clinics, or shared driving responsibilities.

Position Details
- Schedule varies by assigned location, responsibilities, and/or physician
- Primarily Monday through Friday
- Very occasional weekend days
- Spanish bilingual skills are a plus
- Valid Texas driver's license with a satisfactory driving record required
- Hourly, FLSA non-exempt; eligible for overtime
Physical Demands
This role includes standing for up to six hours per day, along with regular sitting and walking. You must be able to communicate, talk and hear in person and by telephone, use your hands to handle and manipulate objects or controls, and reach with your hands and arms.
You will regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch and may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include viewing multiple computer screens, close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Viewing images and operating computer devices constantly.
