Position Summary

Austin Retina Associates is seeking a responsible, self-motivated individual to join our call center team. This role will include making and changing appointments and other assigned duties.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Answers patient calls in a fast paced environment, 200 - 300 calls per day
  • Schedule and change patient appointments using multiple software systems
  • Communicates with the scheduling team as needed to ensure calls are answered in a timely manner
  • Take messages for Staff
  • Assess patient needs to prioritize and schedule accordingly, communicating with physician and/or their teams as needed
  • Performs administrative support as needed

Required Attributes

  • Fluent bilingual in Spanish
  • Experienced with multi-line phone system
  • Medical scheduling in a fast paced environment

Position Details

  • Schedule approximately 8-5pm during weekdays
  • Hourly pay, FLSA non-exempt, eligible for overtime

Physical Demands and Requirements

Prolonged standing and walking, and sitting, talking and hearing both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle and feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 40 pounds on occasion. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes viewing multiple computer screens, close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Viewing images and operating computer devices constantly.
