A Day in the Life (aka What You’ll Do)
During triage, you will be the steady, compassionate presence to patients—assisting and guiding them through each step of their visit, listening to their concerns, and helping them feel at ease. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you are at the heart of patient care—gathering medical histories, performing vision testing and imaging, preparing exam rooms, documenting clinical notes, and supporting physicians during treatments and procedures.

Some days may include travel between clinics, early mornings, or later hours, with shared driving responsibilities—but you will always be supported by an incredible team. Other Important Details

  • Schedule will vary based on assigned location, tasks and/or assigned physician
  • Very occasional weekend days although schedule is generally Monday to Friday
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Valid Texas driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
  • Hourly pay, FLSA non-exempt, eligible for overtime

Physical Demands and Requirements

Sitting up to 4 hours a day; standing and walking; talking and hear both in person and by telephone; using hands to finger, handle and feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and lift to 25 pounds on occasion. Specific vision abilities required by this job include viewing multiple computer screens, close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Viewing images and operating computer devices constantly
