Manufacturing Systems Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY
This position must be based in the Atlanta, GA area.
The Manufacturing Systems Analyst governs manufacturing and product master data within the PeopleSoft Oracle system to ensure accurate planning and execution, production times, and the delivery of defect-free products. This role serves as the single point of accountability for Items, BOMs, Routings, and related planning parameters, ensuring data integrity, standardization, and alignment with manufacturing processes across multiple plants. Works closely with Operations and cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Sales, Marketing, IT, Finance, and Customer Service, to drive data accuracy, support training initiatives, identify process improvements, and promote alignment across divisions.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties as assigned)
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency within the ERP system and related business systems used to support manufacturing, planning, and order execution
- Own and govern all Item and Product master records in the ERP system, including lifecycle management (creation, updates, inactivation), ensuring alignment with manufacturing processes and business requirements
- Document, maintain, and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices related to ERP data management and manufacturing data workflows, supporting consistent execution and training across plants and functions
- Develop, implement, and maintain standardized processes for the creation, maintenance, and auditing of Item, Product, BOM, and Routing data to support accurate planning and execution
- Design and execute regular, methodical audits of ERP and manufacturing data to identify inaccuracies, systemic issues, and opportunities for improvement
- Serve as the single point of accountability for manufacturing master data, including Items, BOMs, Routings, and related planning parameters, across all plants
- Support the implementation of APS software
- Own routing data for all plants, ensuring planning times, work center assignments, and related parameters accurately reflect manufacturing capabilities and constraints.
- Review and analyze APS system outputs versus existing routing and planning times to identify variances, trends, and opportunities related to floor efficiency, planning accuracy, idle capacity, and unplanned downtime.
- Propose, test, and implement process improvements and automation within the ERP and related systems to improve data quality, efficiency, and scalability
- Ensure accuracy of product attributes and manufacturing parameters, auditing consistency across Items, BOMs, and Routings
- Understand and provide the necessary support for the CRM quoting and Bom & Route process for new or existing parts.
- Coordinate and prioritize assigned work to support manufacturing systems and data
- Promote and enforce safety as a top priority, complying with company policies and regulatory standards while working in office, warehouse, and manufacturing environments.
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred, or 5-7 years of experience in a related field
- Experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment preferred
- Proficiency with Office 365
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong planning and organizational skills
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and manage project assignments and resources to meet deadlines and business objectives
- Ability to serve as a liaison with other functional areas and customers
- Excellent communication skills – Verbal & Written, Presentation
- Knowledge of EPS products and customer requirements, as well as capability limitations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and PeopleSoft ERP system
- Strong analytical skills to interpret technical documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements, and apply findings to ERP data and product processes
- Anticipates what needs to be done and proceeds without direction, autonomously

- Ability to plan a work schedule, establish goals and priorities

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- General office environment. Personal protective equipment required in warehouse and manufacturing environments
- Frequently required to talk, hear, sit, and use hand to finger (key or write), handle, or
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
- Repetitive computer and administrative tasks require constant hand activity, including: gripping/grasping, writing and/or typing
- Fast paced environment
- Irregular and long hours may be required
- Travel will be necessary – up to 10% of time
