Manufacturing Engineering Manager (PCBA)
About this role
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager (PCBA) with 5+ years of experience to lead and scale internal PCBA production capabilities for cutting-edge satellite hardware. You are a self-driven, detail-oriented production leader who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments and has a track record of transitioning products from development to high-rate production. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead a team at the forefront of space technology, directly impacting Astranis's ability to deliver on a $1 billion satellite backlog.
What will you be doing?
Lead a team of engineers, specialists, and technicians performing PCBA assembly and test operations for development and flight hardware
Develop and implement a robust production strategy to establish and scale internal PCBA production capabilities to meet aggressive factory rate targets
Champion Design-for-Manufacturing (DFM) with design engineering to influence hardware designs for manufacturability
Own the physical production layout, optimizing material flow from receiving through all processes to finished product
Create metrics and tools to monitor production success (yield, on-time delivery) and drive continuous improvement across processes, tooling, and GSE
