$16.90 per hour 

Hours:

This is a part-time (20 hours/week), position with expected hours to be worked during business hours of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and requires working evenings, and weekends

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, Rental Center Attendants are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Titan Outdoors Rental Center by providing excellent customer service, managing rental transactions, and maintaining inventory. This includes assisting customers with gear selection, handling payments, and ensuring all equipment is clean, functional, and properly stored. The Attendant will also utilize Fusion software to manage trips and equipment, enforce rental policies, and support the preparation of gear for expeditions and events.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Titan Outdoors Rental Center, ensuring smooth and efficient service for customers.
  • Ability to have a thorough understanding of Fusion, including adding or deleting trips, equipment, or emailing
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all rental equipment, tracking usage, wear, and necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Ensure that all equipment is clean, functional, and properly stored, following safety and maintenance protocols.
  • Develop and enforce rental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Titan Outdoors guidelines.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting patrons with gear selection, trip recommendations, and policy explanations.
  • Manage rental transactions, operate the POS and credit card system, and handle cash/check payments as needed.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in creating rental schedules and pricing structures, ensuring competitive and fair rates. As well as new gear purchases.
  • Support Titan Outdoors expeditions and events by preparing and distributing necessary rental gear.
  • Conduct pre-activity meetings to inform participants of proper equipment use and care.

Customer Service & Collaboration:

  • Establishes and maintains working relationships with various A.S. and University departments

Safety:

  • Ensures all operations are conducted with safety of customers as first priority, and in accordance with the Injury and Illness Prevention Plan and other safety policies.
  • Reports accidents to supervisor and reviews changes required to avoid reoccurrence.
  • Reports maintenance problems and/or broken and unsafe equipment to the appropriate party or supervisor immediately

Requirements:

 

 

 

Recommended Experience:

  • Must be a currently enrolled California State University Fullerton student in good academic standing

 

 

  • Outdoor Recreation Experience is preferred

  • Must be able to lift, lower, push and pull loads ranging in weight from 5-80 lbs
