About this role

A Code Enforcement Specialist plays an active role in achieving long-term customer satisfaction in the context of Community Association relationships. Specific responsibilities will vary with designated communities and may include but are not limited to: Inspecting properties for maintenance, landscaping, safety, and compliance issues and accurately recording findings.

Position is located in the Ft. Worth/Mid-Cities area.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Notify responsible parties of code issues given in writing, by phone, in person and
    electronically.
  • Respond to and investigate allegations of violations of codes to determine validity of complaints and the appropriate course of action to mitigate issues.
  • Investigate and enforce property codes within community boundaries.
  • Schedule and perform systematic property maintenance inspections by driving through and walking through the communities to maintain or achieve minimum property standards. Must have clear driving record. Mileage will be paid for use of employee’s car until a company car is provided.
  • Utilize company software to upload photos and violations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures and forms.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance requirements (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.)
  • Knowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of architectural plans and/or drawings at a proficient level.
  • Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.
  • Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.)
  • Professional customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Associates Degree Preferred
  • 0 – 3 years of directly related or closely related experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Position will be driving in the Ft. Worth and Mid-Cities areas
