First Financial Center

The First Financial Center is in the heart of downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, within blocks of top-rated restaurants, bars, pro-sports venues and attractions. First Financial Center has an innovative design that can accommodate both large and small groups. The First Financial Center recently completed a $264M reimagination and offers a 40,000 sq. ft. grand ballroom, 200,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space, and 30 deluxe meeting rooms.

The Role

Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Full-Time Housekeeper / Conversion Crew Team Member at the First Financial Center. The Housekeeper / Conversion Crew Lead is responsible for leading housekeeping and conversion crew staff while ensuring the facility remains clean, safe, and event ready. This position oversees daily cleaning operations, event setup and teardown activities, equipment accountability, and shift operations. The role requires strong leadership, teamwork, organizational skills, and the ability to work flexible hours in support of facility operations and event activity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and mentor housekeeping and conversion staff by assigning work, monitoring performance, promoting safety, and ensuring cleanliness and event setup standards are met.

  • Manage daily shift operations by confirming attendance, assigning responsibilities, communicating expectations, maintaining shift logs, documenting incidents, and ensuring effective shift transitions.

  • Lead and participate in event conversions, including the setup, teardown, storage, and movement of tables, chairs, staging, air walls, barricades, pipe and drape, dance floors, and other event equipment in accordance with event plans and facility requirements.

  • Inspect public areas, meeting spaces, event venues, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness.

  • Perform and oversee routine and deep-cleaning activities throughout the facility, including floor care, carpet extraction, waste removal, sanitizing, window cleaning, and other housekeeping duties as needed.

  • Operate and maintain housekeeping, conversion, and material-handling equipment, including utility vehicles, compactors, scrubbers, sweepers, pallet jacks, snow removal equipment, and other authorized machinery; report equipment issues and ensure proper storage and routine maintenance.

  • Maintain accountability for department equipment, supplies, uniforms, radios, keys, and inventory, ensuring proper storage, accurate tracking, and availability for daily operations and events.

  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Food & Beverage, Audio Visual, IT, Event Management, and other departments to support facility operations and successful event execution.

  • Provide responsive and professional customer service to guests, clients, and staff while addressing concerns and communicating work status, operational issues, and completed assignments to management.

  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, safety programs, and workplace standards, while maintaining flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and other hours based on events and operational needs.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • 6 months' experience within housekeeping or custodial, preferred

  • Familiar with basic cleaning products, tools, and housekeeping practices

  • Experience in a similar facility setting is preferred

  • Maintain a driver’s license or have willingness and ability to obtain equipment for required operation

Skills and Abilities

  • Must possess and demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to communicate via radio

  • Must maintain a professional appearance

  • Ability to perform routine and repetitive housekeeping and certain events set up tasks without immediate supervision

  • Ability to take directions and complete assigned tasks accurately and on time.

  • Ability to operate various cleaning machines and equipment within the Center

  • Ability to work both as a part of a team and independently without direct supervision

  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, which could include evenings/nights, holidays and weekends as dictated by event activity

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic setting with frequent transitions between housekeeping and event conversion tasks.

  • Requires standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment for extended periods.

  • Often involves irregular hours aligned with event schedules.

  • This position will require a considerable amount of walking, climbing, stooping, and possibly heavy lifting. The position requires work in both indoor and outdoor settings.
