REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager & Director of Finance
FLSA STATUS: Part-time Hourly, Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for an Accounting Clerk position with Legends Global/Boeing Center at Tech Port. This role offers hands-on exposure to live event accounting and opportunities to grow into more advanced accounting responsibilities. This position will support the Finance Department in the day-to-day operations through various responsibilities in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Accounting Functions consistent with Legends Global policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Director of Finance and Accounting Manager as instructed.
- Prepare the daily cash receipts log.
- Compile and sort documents, such as invoices and checks, confirming business transactions.
- Owns accounts payable; inputting and matching vendor invoices to purchase orders and check disbursements.
- Maintain all Vendor and Finance files; respond to inquiries and research discrepancies.
- Assist in inputting accounting information into the accounting system as instructed.
- Assist in maintaining internal audit controls & and participate in external audits.
- Assist in monthly close process.
- Working quickly and efficiently is a must.
- Assist in reconciling bank statements.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

- Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively work under pressure on multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting tight deadlines.

- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

- Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Associate degree from a two-year college or university preferred.
- One (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Understand and apply standard accounting principles, financial control procedures, computerized accounting systems/software, and financial management preferred.
- Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
- Excellent math skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
- Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
- Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Work effectively under pressure and produce accurate results.
- Demonstrate knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing software and be willing to learn and use accounting and financial reporting software.
- Experience on an accounting software package is preferred.
- Sage accounting system is a plus.
