Senior Python Developer
About this role
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
Build and manage RESTful APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks.
Develop clean, maintainable, and high-quality code following best practices.
Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data models.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Frontend, DevOps, Data, and Product teams.
Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application performance issues.
Implement automated testing and ensure application reliability.
Participate in architecture design and technical decision-making.
Ensure application security, scalability, and maintainability.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Python development.
Strong expertise in Python and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
Expert in at least one Python framework:
FastAPI
Flask
Strong experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
Strong knowledge of SQL and ORM frameworks (SQLAlchemy preferred).
Experience with Docker and containerized application deployment.
Good understanding of software design patterns, SOLID principles, and Clean Architecture.
Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
Strong understanding of Linux environments.
Experience with unit testing and integration testing.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
Familiarity with Redis, RabbitMQ, or Apache Kafka.
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI/CD.
Experience designing and building distributed systems and microservices architectures.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
Nice to Have
Experience building AI/GenAI applications.
Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel.
Experience working with OpenAI or Azure OpenAI services.
Knowledge of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and AI Agent architectures.
Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB, or Azure AI Search.
