Maintenance Mechanic

Essential Duties:

 

• Observes all safety requirements including wearing appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment).
• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair sawmill machinery and production equipment. 
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production emergencies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Follow LOTO and all other mill safety protocols during maintenance activities. 
• Other duties may be assigned as required.

 

 Education and/or Experience:

 

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Understanding of mechanical systems, tools and PPE 
• Willingness/ability to learn on the job under supervision.
• Lumber experience a plus!
