Summary:

The Sales Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the retail store.  

Responsibilities:

  • Support the General Sales Managers’ in overseeing all sales KPI’s including but not limited to; volume, margin, closing ratio, sales per guest, bedding and protection.
  • The ability to handle all customer-related issues in the absence of the General Sales Manager.
  • Provide exceptional leadership with timely and effective communication to the sales, guest experience and visual teams.
  • Coach members of the sales staff to build individual and team success in a professional manner.
  • Assist the General Sales Manager in maintaining budgeted administrative costs including wages and supplies.
  • Ensure complete and adequate documentation of procedures and tasks completed.
  • Complete various report functions in a timely manner.
  • Aid to maintain proper staffing levels for the sales team job code in accordance with company set budget levels.
  • Prepare and administer impact coaching sessions for development of the sales team.
  • Coordinate and execute daily, weekly peak state huddles.
  • Work with the Visual Presentation Manager regarding product placement.
  • Report changes in policy and other information to staff members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required
  • 2 + years working in the retail industry
  • Ability to motivate employees to achieve sales KPI’s
  • Ability to handle guest concerns in a timely manner
  • Ability to interview and staff retail location
