Salary range: $45.30 - 63.95 per hour

How you'll make an impact in this role

  • Direct daily med-surg operations, coordinate shift staffing, and manage resources to meet productivity standards while balancing unit patient-physician dynamics.

  • Evaluate daily patient needs to delegate population-appropriate assignments, monitor nursing/support staff, and ensure consistent, high-quality patient care.

  • Mentor and educate nursing staff, provide input on hiring and performance evaluations, and foster professional development across assigned shifts.

  • Oversee compliance with clinical objectives, resolve patient care complaints through established channels, and justify unit productivity variances to leadership.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

  • Must have one year RN medical surgical experience.
