Job Description

The Operations Expert at Arvato will lead the development and implementation of operating processes and systems for new business initiatives. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in warehouse operations, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects. The ideal candidate will proactively manage risks and apply best practices to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence.

 

YOUR TASKS

  • Own the development and implementation of efficient operating processes and systems for new business initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with the local Operations teams to conduct volume reviews, productivity assessments, and full-time equivalent (FTE) planning to optimize workforce allocation.
  • Develop and execute transition and ramp-up plans for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth onboarding of new clients and processes.
  • Create project-specific training concepts, drive the execution of training programs, and ensure proper documentation for all training materials.
  • Provide on-the-floor management and supervision during the GoLive phases, supporting local teams in the execution of processes and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Ensure that the full scope of system functions is known, utilized, and optimized across all operations.
  • Anticipate potential risks associated with new implementations and develop effective mitigation strategies using industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with various teams to discuss and define processes for different ramp-up phases, including manual versus automated workflows.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and operational efficiencies, sharing insights and recommendations with relevant stakeholders.
  • Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Follow and maintain 5S Program and guidelines.

 

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within a warehouse environment, with a proven track record of successfully implementing new business operations.
  • Strong understanding of logistics operations, process development, and project management principles.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in stakeholder management and collaboration across departments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% of the time, occasionally more as needed 
  • Proficient knowledge of SAP pertaining to warehouse activities.
