T26/27 SCHOOL COUNSELOR (Innovation)
About this role
Human Resources announces an opening for a 0.6 FTE School Counselor at Innovation Elementary School.
Qualifications:
- Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
- Counseling endorsement.
- Elementary Education endorsement.
- Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
Experience:
- Experience working with students on the elementary level.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with principal, staff and parents.
- Ability and willingness to work as a team member with special education and general education staff.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to compromise.
- Good initiative, flexibility, dependability and organizational skills.
- Strong sense of professionalism.
- Strong classroom management skills.
Salary:
- Salary will be based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule.
