A 37-year-old male is looking for a respite provider to assist him in exploring his community and making new connections. He is looking for a staff to take him to the Magic The Gathering tournament at Larger Than Life in Clay, NY as well as possibly go into the community to play Pokémon go.

The ideal candidate would have understanding of Magic the Gathering game or be willing to learn the game as well as Pokémon go.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services.

Hours and days of work: Friday 4pm-10pm

Starting pay: Starting pay is $19.25/hour and increases with years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community.
Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills
No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.

Qualifications
Must have a valid drivers license

Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
