1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – North Syracuse, NY (SSMC-BP)

A 47 year old male in the North Syracuse area is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist him with positive communication skills, independent living skills and encouragement to complete his activities of daily living.

He enjoys going to baseball games, taking care of his home, gardening and going for walks. He is a very social person and enjoys spending time with others, especially his wife and other family members.

The ideal candidate is creative, engaging, and patient. The ideal candidate must also be willing to navigate possible verbal outbursts from the individual.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday 2pm-5pm. Times may be flexible.

Hourly Wage: $26.00 per hour

Location: North Syracuse, NY

Qualifications
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be at least 18 years old
Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
