A 22-year-old male in the Camillus area is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist him with his internship at SU, money management, social and safety skills. Services will start on SU campus and end either in Camillus or SU. Looking for staff to assist individual for communication with public, time management and focusing on tasks.
He spends most of his time at SU for his Inclusive-U program. He will have an internship in the fall which will assist him with gaining work related skills. He would enjoy having a Direct support professional to assist him with his internship.
The ideal candidate is engaging, patient, focused and has great communication skills. The ideal candidate is willing to walk long distances around the SU Campus and interact with other students/members of the public. Must be willing to travel to SU campus to begin.
This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services.

Hours and days of work: Looking for Tuesdays and Thursdays; with range between 10:30am and 3:30 pm.
Starting pay: CH 1, Starting pay is $19.25/hour and increases with years of relevant experience.
Location: Syracuse, NY (Syracuse University)
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community.
Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills
No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.
