We are looking for a dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide respite services for a happy and energetic 11-year-old male in the North Syracuse area.

He loves spending time outdoors, especially jumping on my trampoline and playing in the snow in the winter. He loves to sing and dance and play his Xbox. His home is filled with love and several animals, making it a fun environment!

The ideal candidate is: creative and energetic: Bring your creativity to help him explore and learn in fun, interactive ways. Active and patient: Be ready to engage in activities that promote his development while being patient and understanding.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.

Hours and days of work: 4 hours available. Prefer 3pm to 7pm any day of the week and 10am to 5pm on the weekend. Times are flexible and can be adjusted to meet a candidate's schedules if it also works for the family.

Starting pay is $17.50/hour and increases with your years of relevant experience.

Qualifications
Must have a valid drivers license
Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
