1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – Baldwinsville, NY (CA-TC)

A 69-year-old male in the Baldwinsville area is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist him with going out in the community and finding new activities that he may enjoy doing, and managing his time so that he can do all the activities he’d like to. He enjoys meeting new people and making new friends. He enjoys going to flea/farmer’s markets, thrift stores, going out to eat, playing pool, fishing, gardening, travelling, and cars. He also enjoys spending time at the local senior center. The ideal candidate is patient, creative, engaging, and willing to travel to different locations. The ideal candidate must also be willing to provide some personal care when needed, be able to support someone with their mobility, and lift.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.

Hours and days of work: 6 hours between 8:00am and 3:00pm on Mondays or Fridays

Starting pay: Starting pay is $19.25/hour and increases with years of relevant experience.

Qualifications
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be at least 18 years old.
Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
