  • Cross-Functional Leadership (without authority): Partner with Account Managers, Product, Client Success, and Marketing to align on account plans, campaigns, and sector initiatives.

  • Enablement & Best Practice: Share winning approaches and sector insights; contribute to playbooks and peer coaching.

Scope of Ownership

  • Own sales performance and pipeline health for an assigned sector/geography.

  • Manage independently the sales process from prospecting through proposal, with emphasis on complex, higher-value deals.

  • Provide structured, recurring client feedback to inform product evolution and sector roadmap priorities.

  • Act as a sector champion for internal and external stakeholders (events, webinars, client sessions).

  • Suggest new sector-specific sales strategies then deliver on those once agreed.

Collaboration Model

  • Partner with Account Managers and Client Success Managers (non-exclusive) to drive expansion and seamless client experience.

  • Work closely with Product Managers to translate client needs into actionable roadmap inputs.

  • Align Marketing on sector messaging, campaigns, content themes, and target audiences for sector-specific demand generation.

Required Skills / Capabilities

  • Sector & Market Experience: Strong commodity markets experience, in at least one Genfuels subsector (Coal, LNG, Biomass, Petcoke, Carbon, Hydrogen).

  • Sales Experience: 8–12 years of successful B2B data/information sales of complex solutions (or equivalent track record).

  • Consultative / Value Selling: Ability to quantify value, shape solution fit, and sell to multiple stakeholders including senior decision-makers.

  • Communication & Influence: Excellent written/verbal skills; strong stakeholder management and cross-functional influence.

  • Execution Excellence: Organised and outcome-focused; able to manage multiple opportunities and internal dependencies.

  • Analytical & Commercial Acumen: Uses data to spot trends, diagnose performance gaps, and improve win rate and sales velocity.
