Position Summary:

ARCH-Minneapolis is looking for a motivated Material Handler to join our team!

Supports manufacturing team to ensure all raw material is processed and available when needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage physical raw material inventory.
  • Receive incoming material from suppliers and process into ERP system.
  • Verify incoming material meets PO requirements
  • Process raw material per job orders using various saw and material cutting equipment.
  • Distribute material to appropriate locations throughout the manufacturing floor.  
  • Raw material management through ERP.
  • Perform periodic inventory counts and physical inventory counts.
  • Input material location movement in ERP system.
  • Enter material consumption into ERP system.
  • Provide support to other departments including Finishing and Assembly, as needed.  

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Due to contractual requirements, this position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous forklift operation/certification a plus 
  • Ability to use saw equipment to cut raw material
  • Strong documentation and organizational Skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Prior inventory control experience is helpful.

While performing the duties of this job, continuous mental and visual attention is needed.  The ability to stand for a shift, sit, talk, and hear is frequently required.   Lifting to 40 pounds is required. Exposure to manufacturing areas where temperature may vary, and personal protective equipment is required.
