Summary

Working with and learning from senior engineers in the creation of cad drawings, estimating costs, customer service / technical assistance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain and update CAD drawings for standard cutting tool product.
  • Review customer order requests compare to previous orders and update CAD drawings as needed.
  • Create CAD drawings for new special cutting tools buy researching previous similar orders.
  • Calculate quoted price for special inquiries.
  • Aids in the development and continuous improvement of procedures.
  • Aids in retrieving historical and trace ability information for new and previous requests.

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associates degree in engineering or Currently enrolled in a 2-year engineering program.

Language Skills

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal or external customers. 

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as the fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
