Are you someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work and has an eye for detail? ARCH Medical Solutions - Warsaw is seeking a Finishing Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for transforming precision-machined components into finished products that meet exact customer specifications. Position Overview

The Finishing Technician is responsible for performing surface finishing operations on manufactured components, conducting in-process inspections, and ensuring finished products meet customer requirements and quality standards. The role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Surface Finishing Operations

  • Perform finishing processes including:
    • Blasting
    • Tumbling
    • Buffing
    • Polishing
    • Grinding
    • Cleaning
    • Hand filing
  • Select the proper abrasives and finishing methods to achieve required surface finishes.
  • Identify customer finish requirements from blueprints, prints, and specifications.

Inspection & Quality

  • Perform in-process inspections and accurately document results.
  • Use precision measurement equipment including:
    • Calipers
    • Micrometers
    • Height gages
    • Optical comparators
    • Pin gages
    • Functional gages
  • Verify dimensions and quality requirements throughout the manufacturing process.

Manufacturing Support

  • Read and interpret job travelers, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Identify special process requirements and customer specifications.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Participate in team-based activities and support production schedules.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous finishing experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using precision inspection and measuring tools.
  • Basic blueprint reading skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to complete required manufacturing and quality documentation.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Understanding and ability to follow quality system requirements and manufacturing procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Experience using computers in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in medical device, aerospace, machining, or other precision manufacturing industries.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, including shifts up to 12 hours.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Vision and hearing correctable to standard levels.
