Role description:

At Arcadis, we're delivering some of the UK's most significant capital investment programmes across infrastructure, transportation and buildings. As our project portfolio continues to grow, we're looking for a talented Cost Management Lead to join our Major Projects team and help clients successfully deliver complex, high-value programmes.

This is an opportunity to work across projects from early business case development through design, construction and handover, providing industry-leading cost management and project controls expertise that drives better outcomes for our clients.

 

Role accountabilities:

  • Leading cost management and cost engineering activities on major infrastructure and transportation projects.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering best-practice project controls solutions.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across project management, programme controls, cost and commercial, digital intelligence, advisory, design and engineering.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of innovative digital cost management solutions.
  • Promoting continuous improvement, standardisation and best practice across project controls functions.
  • Contributing to the growth of Arcadis' global Project & Programme Controls community.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in cost management, cost engineering or project controls within infrastructure, transportation and/or buildings sectors.
  • Strong understanding of cost management processes, governance and control systems on complex projects.
  • Experience using industry cost management tools such as Deltek Cobra, Congruent, Oracle or similar platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and client-facing communication skills.
  • Understanding of how cost management integrates with planning, risk, scope management and wider project controls disciplines.
  • Experience working across multiple stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualifications or memberships such as APM, RICS, ICEC, MSP or similar
